Code of Conduct

Deadlock is for every student builder in Canada. This code applies on our Discord, livestreams, social channels and in anything you submit.

Do

• Be respectful to other builders, judges, problem owners and staff.
• Do your own work and credit any code or ideas you use.
• Treat problem owners' data with care and use it only for your entry.

Don't

• Harass, threaten or demean anyone, including because of their race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age or background.
• Share another builder's work, or get help from another person during the Open.
• Try to break, overload or get around the platform, the judging or another entrant's work.
• Post sexual, violent or hateful content.

Reporting

If something happens, tell us at askdeadlock@gmail.com or message a moderator on Discord. We'll keep reports confidential.

What we do

We may warn, remove or disqualify anyone who breaks this code, and ban them from future Opens. Entry fees are not refunded for removals.
